Cherry Pupsi Cola

Dark Bunny Sauces' Test Batches are our way of getting the creative bug out of our system.

Some of these sauces end up eventually becoming full out sauces in our lineup, but they require a little bit of tweaking. Some are just one-off sauces where we wanted to try something, and it just either didn't work the way we wanted it to, or the particular ingredients can't be gotten easily or regularly. But either way, our Test Batches are works in progress.

This one was a long time coming. Sitting in the back of our mind.
Cherry Coke BBQ sauce. The working title is Cherry Pupsi Cola. combining Cherry Coke, fermented sweet dark cherries, a little chipotle and a mix of other spices and things, we were pleasantly surprised by the outcome. It may not be for everyone as the flavour profile is a tad... weird, but I definitely enjoy it!

Ingredients

Ingrédients: cola aux cerises, eau, pâte de tomate, vinaigre blanc, cerises noires douces, cassonade, oignon rouge, mélasse de grenade, ail, chipotle, sel, paprika, coriandre, poudre de chili, extrait d'anis, graines de moutarde noire, grains de poivre noir, cumin , estragon

Ingredients: cherry cola, water, tomato paste, white vinegar, sweet dark cherries, brown sugar, red onion, pomegranate molasses, garlic, chipotle, salt, paprika, coriander, chili powder, anise extract, black mustard seed, black peppercorns, cumin, tarragon
