Canfurence 2025

It’s that time folks!

First, we are looking for a couple of people willing to transport boxes of our delicious sauces from Montreal to Ottawa, and any leftovers (after the con, IF there are any) back afterwards. We will have several boxes of things to transport down (and obviously, significantly less to return), and we’d love to partner up! And yes, there will be compensation! So, if you’re interested in helping us out this year, please let us know early so we can lock it in! Contact Feli at feli@darkbunny.ca, on Telegram, Facebook, Bluesky, or by yelling into the darkness (please note, yelling into the darkness may not yield results).

To answer questions in advance:

·         Yes, sauces can be stores in vehicles for days leading to arrival at the hotel in Ottawa.

·         Yes, sauces are packed securely

·         No, you will not be held liable for any incidental breakages in transport, though that has never happened.

To date, compensation by previous transporters has been taken in the form of free sauces. This IS an option, but more details can be hammered out.

This “DBS Sauce Transporter” position also comes with a public “DBS Partner” spot on our website’s partners page, should you wish it.

Second, should our annual “Burning Down the Con” panel be accepted for the programming schedule, we will be looking for two or three people to help us during the panel for prep, serving, possible photography and with reviving participants. Nothing strenuous, and all in fun.

Lastly, we’re asking in advance because every year we have friends and supporters asking if they could help man the booth: If your offer is serious and you would like to help sling the sauce (Yes, this is an actual position), let us know and we can look into how best to work things. Having an extra set of paws or two let Feli and Manny take a break now and then.
